English Studies: The Key to a World of Discovery

In today’s rapidly changing world, proficiency in foreign languages – especially English – is no longer just an advantage; it is a necessity. English acts as a lingua franca, which not only opens doors to international studies or careers but also serves as the primary tool for accessing the latest scientific information, mastering technology, and establishing cultural exchanges. It is a bridge connecting ideas and people across the globe – a key to a boundless world of opportunities and discoveries.

In celebration of the English Language Day, we invite students and young researchers to become explorers of this linguistic world: to present their research, discuss the power of language, and chart new directions in science and academia.

The event is organized by the Department of Philology of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Klaipėda University, together with partners: LCC International University, the University of Zadar, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and the University of Žilina.

Conference Objectives:

to unite students from Lithuanian educational institutions for a shared scientific discussion on topics of English philology, creating opportunities to share accumulated experience, linguistic skills, and academic insights;
to foster youth interest in English linguistics, literature, and cultural studies, and to engage them in scientific activity by encouraging collaborative exploration of relevant modern issues in linguistics and literary theory.
