Since 2004, our conference has consistently fostered an environment of intellectual growth and collaboration. Each year, the event brings together scientists, researchers, and practitioners from various countries who study regions, offering new theoretical insights and applying them practically through relevant case studies.

This year is particularly significant, as both the Klaipeda University and the Baltic University Programme (BUP)—a university cooperation network comprising more than 110 participating universities across ten countries in the Baltic Sea Region—are celebrating their 35th anniversaries.

As Klaipėda University is part of the Baltic University Programme (BUP) and serves as its national centre, we are pleased to announce that BUP is joining the conference with a special focus on Smart, Social, and Sustainable Tourism for Regional Competitiveness.
