The Department offers the following study programmes:

- Lithuanian Philology (first cycle)

- Baltic Languages and Cultures (second cycle)

- English and another foreign language (German/French) and Business Communication (second cycle).

The Department also runs doctoral studies in Ethnology and Philology (Ethnology and Philology research fields).

The study programmes English Philology (BA) and English and another foreign language (French/German) and Business Communication (MA) are taught in English.

The faculty and researchers of the Department synchronously and diachronously investigate linguistic and cultural phenomena in the Baltic region, their interrelationships and interactions, and seek to uncover the general and local factors shaping the development of linguistic and symbolic systems.
